Abstract

A study was carried out to determine whether or not Fusarium xylarioides (= Gibberella xylariodes) could be transmitted by infected seed of robusta coffee (Coffee canephora Pierre). Seeds were collected from symptomic and asymptomic plants from various robusta coffee growing districts in Uganda and from experimental fields at the Coffee Research Institute (CORI), based at Kituza in Mukono district.
